What the tale is about

In Makkah, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) calls the Quraysh to worship Allah, the One God, and leave idol worship. Though the people know him as trustworthy, his uncle Abu Lahab angrily shouts insults and refuses to support him. Abu Lahab’s wife also places thorns in the Prophet’s path and throws rubbish on him during prayer. Surah Al-Masad teaches that hostility, pride, and wealth cannot protect those who choose wrongdoing. The Prophet responds with patience and dignity, feeling Allah’s support even without his uncle’s help. The surah encourages equality, goodness, and trust in Allah during difficult times.
