What the tale is about
Bahaddin Gazi Dede arrives in the Karabük village near Safranbolu with his family from Khorasan and begins life there as a humble shepherd. He treats people, animals, and nature with kindness, teaches children to read the Qur’an, and shares beautiful character and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) with adults. He builds a strong stone bridge across the flood-prone Araç Stream and helps bring a larger mosque to the village. When the villagers witness the extraordinary help behind his work, they recognize him as a friend of Allah. Seeking to escape their growing reverence, Bahaddin Dede disappears, and the villagers set out to find him.
