Frequently asked questions

How do I cancel my subscription?

Your subscription is managed by the store you bought it from. iPhone/iPad: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Masaldan Erdeme → Cancel. Android: Google Play app → your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Masaldan Erdeme → Cancel subscription. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription; after cancelling, Premium stays on until the end of the paid period.

How do I delete my data?

The app works without accounts; your data lives on your device first. In the app, go to Parent Area → Privacy & data → Delete account & data; your household, child profiles, activity records and library are deleted from the device immediately and permanently, and a device in a family also leaves it. If you use family sync, delete the family's encrypted records on our server with Parent Area → Family → Delete the family for everyone; each device keeps its own copy. Deleting a story you created in the app also removes its files from our server. Details: Delete data.

Will my data come along if I switch to a new phone?

Yes. If you use family sync, the easiest way is to add the new device from another family device (it is the only way to move between iPhone and Android); if you have lost every device, the recovery code you saved when creating the family brings it back. A new iPhone/iPad signed in to the same Apple Account with iCloud Keychain on rejoins the family automatically, and an Android phone restored from the backup of a device that had a screen lock finds the family too (without a screen lock the family key is not backed up; use the recovery code). The recovery code changes whenever a device is removed or leaves; keep the latest one. Without family sync, profiles and the library come along automatically through your personal iCloud on iPhone/iPad, and move with Google's device backup on Android. Downloaded stories, the parent PIN and the language are per device. Your subscription is tied to your store account (Apple or Google) and is recognised automatically on a device signed in with the same account; if it is not, use Parent Area → Subscription → Restore purchases.

Can two parents or several devices share the app?

Yes, with optional family sync. The Family screen requires a parent PIN. On one device, tap Parent Area → Family → Create a family (write down the recovery code it shows), then get an 8-digit code with Add a device. On the other phone or tablet, choose "Yes, join our family" during setup or Parent Area → Family → "Join a family", enter the code and confirm that both screens show the same 6-digit number. iPhone, iPad and Android work together. Children, created stories, characters, favourites, watch history and daily limits are then the same on every family device; no account, email or password is needed. Family data is end-to-end encrypted, so not even we can read it. A small end-to-end encrypted copy of each character photo goes to the family's other devices too; you can turn this off with the “Share character photos” switch on the Family screen.

Does Premium work on the family's other devices?

Yes. If one device linked with family sync has Premium, it works on all of the family's devices: story creation and downloads open on every one of them, and the monthly story allowance is shared within the family. If the family has two separate subscriptions, their allowances add up. Whoever bought the subscription manages it in their own App Store or Google Play account. A family can have up to 10 devices.

Are there ads or tracking?

No. We show no ads, we do not track your child's behaviour, and we do not sell data. Crash and performance diagnostics are collected only if you grant the "Diagnostics" permission, and without any advertising identifier.

I forgot my parent PIN.

For your security the parent PIN is stored only on your device, never on our servers, and it is not shared through family sync — each device has its own PIN. That means there is currently no automatic reset — please email us and we'll help you.
